Sola Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") fully recognizes its social responsibility regarding the protection of all personal information handled by the Company, protects the rights of individuals, and complies with laws and regulations concerning personal information. In addition, in order to embody the policies set forth below, the Company will establish a personal information protection management system and, while constantly recognizing trends in the latest IT technologies, changes in social demands, and fluctuations in the business environment, hereby declares that it will make company-wide efforts toward continuous improvement.

1. When handling personal information, the Company will appropriately acquire, use, and provide such information within the scope necessary for its business operations and for employee employment and personnel management. The Company will also take measures to prevent the use or provision of personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purposes of use.

2. The Company will comply with laws and regulations concerning the handling of personal information, guidelines established by the government, and other applicable standards.

3. The Company will take reasonable security measures against risks such as leakage, loss, or damage of personal information, allocate management resources appropriate to its business circumstances to prevent such risks, and continuously improve its personal information security system. In the unlikely event that an incident occurs, the Company will promptly implement corrective measures.

4. The Company will appoint a person responsible for managing personal information, grant that person responsibility and authority for the implementation and operation of the personal information protection management system, and ensure appropriate management.

5. The Company will provide appropriate guidance and education to all employees who handle personal information, periodically audit the operational status of the personal information protection management system, review the system, and strive for its continuous improvement and enhancement.

6. The Company will establish a contact point and respond to requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, refusal of use or provision of personal information, and other complaints or consultations regarding personal information.

1. Purpose of Use

Personal information shall be used within the scope of the purpose for which it was obtained, and only by persons authorized according to the specific business operations, to the extent necessary for the performance of such operations.

Personal information held by business partners that we view or use in connection with operations entrusted to us will be used within the scope necessary to achieve the relevant purpose and handled appropriately in accordance with the rules of the relevant business partner.


2. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

We will not provide personal information held by us to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the individual, except as required by laws and regulations.


3. Outsourcing of Personal Information

We may outsource personal information entrusted to us to third parties in order to carry out the purposes of use stated above. When outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal data held by us, we will enter into necessary agreements and conduct appropriate management and supervision.


4. Voluntary Provision of Information

Provision of personal information to us is voluntary. However, if the information is incomplete or inaccurate, we may be unable to respond appropriately to inquiries.


5. Acquisition of Personal Information by Methods Not Recognizable by the Individual

We do not acquire personal information by methods that are not recognizable by the individual. If we acquire personal information in such a manner, we will notify the individual and obtain consent before acquiring it.


6. Measures Taken for Security Control of Retained Personal Data

The specific security control measures we take are as follows.

(1) Establishment of a basic policy

To ensure the proper handling of personal information, we have established this policy, the Personal Information Protection Policy, regarding matters such as compliance with relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, matters concerning security control measures for personal information, and the personal information consultation desk.


(2) Development of rules concerning the handling of personal data

In our personal information protection manual, we have established basic handling methods for the acquisition, use, storage, and other handling of personal information.


(3) Organizational security control measures

We appoint responsible persons and managers for the handling of personal data, clarify the officers and employees who handle personal data and the scope of personal data handled by such officers and employees, and establish a system for reporting and contacting responsible persons when facts or signs of violations of laws or handling rules are identified.


(4) Personnel security control measures

We implement measures such as entering into nondisclosure agreements with employees, maintaining work rules and other regulations, thoroughly informing employees of important points concerning the handling of personal information, and conducting training.


(5) Physical security control measures

We implement measures such as locked storage of documents and external media to prevent loss or theft, disposal of personal information by means that make restoration extremely difficult, including shredding, incineration, or melting, prohibition on taking personal information outside the company without approval from the responsible person, and encryption or sealing when carrying personal information.


(6) Technical security control measures

We implement access control to limit the scope of handlers and the personal information databases and similar resources they handle.


(7) Understanding the external environment

When handling personal data in a foreign country, we understand the personal information protection systems and other relevant matters in that country and take necessary security control measures.


Privacy Policy Regarding the Use of Google APIs

  • Our service "Bouquet" may use the Google Photos API to obtain customers’ Google Photos data. Bouquet uses the Google Photos API only when customers have given their consent. The data obtained includes images, videos, album names, and other information stored by customers in Google Photos, and the obtained data is stored on the device. We do not use the information stored on the device.
  • Our services "monoca," "kotoca," "accoca," "Michi-no-Eki Meguri," and "Caho Password Manager" may use the Google Drive API to save app data. These services use the Google Drive API only when customers have given their consent. We do not use the stored information. The use and transfer to other apps of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • Our services "monoca," "kotoca," and "Caho Password Manager" may use the Google Calendar API to reflect information registered by customers on Google Calendar. These services use the Google Calendar API only when customers have given their consent. We do not use the registered information.

Privacy Policy Regarding the Use of the Instagram Basic Display API

  • Our service "Bouquet" may use the Instagram Basic Display API to obtain customers’ image, video, and album data. Bouquet uses the Instagram Basic Display API only when customers have given their consent. The obtained data is stored on the device and used only to create mosaic art. Customers may delete this data by uninstalling the app.
  • If a customer requests deletion of their personal information and we determine that we need to comply with such request, we will delete the personal information after confirming that the request was made by the customer themselves, and will notify the customer accordingly. If we receive a request through the inquiry form to delete personal data provided by the Instagram Basic Display API, we will promptly respond in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.

7. Procedures for Requests for Disclosure and Other Matters Concerning Retained Personal Data or Records of Third-Party Provision

For retained personal information subject to disclosure that is held by us, we will promptly respond by the method requested by the individual to requests for notification of purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of content, suspension of use, erasure, suspension of provision to third parties, or requests for records of third-party provision.
